In my search for a great lounge pant pattern, I came across True Bias. That is where I discovered possibly the best lounge pant pattern I have ever tried. The Hudson Pant is by far going to be my go-to pattern for loungewear. I spent a couple of hours on Sunday making a pair of the Hudson Pants for my daughter and they fit and looked amazing. I am definitely making a pair for myself.
This pattern is for advanced beginner sewists. I found the instructions were very well laid out and easy to follow. I followed the recommendation of the pattern to use the hip measurement rather than the waist measurement. I then used the actual elastic that I was going to insert to measure the waist size and cut it accordingly with a half-inch added for the overlap to sew the elastic together. This worked perfectly. I adding some stretch stitching to the waistband to give it the look I was going for and it worked out perfectly.
The fabric that I used was Robert Kaufman's Laguna Cotton Jersey Knit Onyx which is 95% cotton and 5% spandex.
So there you have it my Monthly pattern pick is the Hudson Pant by True Bias.
